This is one of the most iconic and visually unique units in the entire Warhammer 40,000 universe!

The Skitarii are the backbone of the military of the Adeptus Mechanicus – the Imperium's technologists and priests from Mars and the other Forge Worlds . Known as the "Tech-Guard", they are ruthless, cybernetically enhanced warriors.

⚙️ What is Skitarii? (Lore)

The Skitarii are the soldiers of the Machine God ( Omnissiah ). Their bodies are barely human; they have replaced much of their flesh and blood with bionic implants, sensors, and powerful servo-motors. They are more machine than man, driven by fanatical faith and mathematically precise combat doctrines.

• Mission: Their main duties are to defend their Forge Worlds and, most importantly, to hunt for and archive ancient technology (called Archaeotech ) across the galaxy for their Tech-Priest masters.

• Communication: They speak a binary, mechanical language ( Binharic ) that is unsuitable for expressing emotions, and focuses solely on tactical data.

🛡️ Skitarii Troop Units

When you buy a standard Skitarii set (often called Skitarii Rangers/Vanguard ), you can build two different types of troops from the same box:

1. Skitarii Rangers

• Role: Long-range hunters and scouts.

• Weapons: They carry Galvanic Rifles , which are slow-moving but powerful rifles that convert the enemy's bio-electric energy into charges. They are designed to pursue and destroy enemies over long distances, often spanning multiple galaxies or decades.

2. Skitarii Vanguard

• Role: Close defenders and attackers.

• Weapons: They carry Radium Carbines . These weapons flood the target with radioactive particles. They are more dangerous in close combat, leaving the enemy poisoned and weakened by radiation.

• Specialty: Their presence alone can weaken enemy units due to the radiation they emit.

📦 Contents of the Skitarii Kit

The regular box usually gives you enough parts to build 10 Skitarii models such as either Rangers or Vanguard. The kit contains a large number of components for customization:

• Special Weapons: Weapons such as the Transuranic Arquebus (long-range sniper weapon), the Arc Rifle (effective against vehicles), and the Plasma Caliver .

• Alphas (Bosses): Their leaders, the Skitarii Alphas , can be equipped with melee weapons such as Taser Goads or Power Swords and special pistols.
