Lilo and Stitch
Lilo & Stitch is a 2002 animated film about the friendship between a lonely Hawaiian girl and a mischievous alien who learns what family means.
The film follows Lilo , a headstrong girl who lives with her older sister Nani after their parents die. She adopts Stitch , who is actually a genetic experiment created by a mad space scientist. Stitch is designed to be destructive, but through Lilo's love and patience, he learns about ʻohana – the Hawaiian word for family, meaning that no one is left behind or forgotten.
The film, which combines science fiction with heartwarming humor , was a huge success for Disney. It has inspired several sequels and a TV series, and a live-action remake is scheduled for release in 2025.
