Time Freeze and the United Front against the Masked Man

Following the shocking revelation in Part 3 that Gym Leader Pryce is the secret Masked Man , the story enters its most intense stage. Part 4 is defined by the desperate battles to stop Pryce from completing his goal: to travel through time using the mythical Pokémon Celebi .

🥶 The war against time and nature

Pryce, driven by his tragic past, succeeds in capturing Celebi and activating the ancient powers of the GS Ball . This creates a chaotic time and ice vortex around him, threatening to freeze time across Johto and Kanto.

• Chaos in the Ilex Forest: The battlefield is in and around the sacred Ilex Forest, where the laws of nature are breaking down due to Pryce's time manipulation and his powerful ice Pokémon.

• The Feared Time Machine: Pryce reveals his most terrifying technology, a form of time machine powered by Celebi and the Legendary Birds (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres) that he has captured and controlled since the Yellow saga.

🤝 The Alliance: Kanto meets Johto

Gym Leaders from both Kanto and Johto must fight shoulder to shoulder in an attempt to break through Pryce's defense lines.

• Gym Leaders United: Characters like Misty, Brock, Jasmine, and Falkner must battle the Neo Team Rocket Elite Four (which includes the manipulated/allied characters Will and Karen ). This is a massive, multi-front battle where the Gym Leaders display a military precision rarely seen in the Pokémon universe.

• Tactics: The adult trainers set up complex strategies to protect the young heroes, allowing Gold, Silver, and Crystal to focus on the central threat.

🐾 Legends are caught in the ice

The three Legendary Beasts – Entei, Raikou, and Suicune – play a pivotal but frustrating role in this installment. They attack Pryce directly to defend the region, but Pryce's superior Ice Pokémon and use of the Time Vortex are nearly impossible to break through.

• Suicune's Battle: Suicune, who has chosen Crystal as a worthy partner, fights valiantly, but even the beast's powers are not enough to overcome the desperate Gym Leader who is in control of Celebi.

🔑 Gold's Preparation

While Silver and Crystal fight on the front lines, Part 4 focuses on Gold's critical personal development.

• The Hatcher's Role: Gold realizes that his role is not to be the strongest fighter, but "The Hatcher." He spends his time developing his team and understanding the unique Pokémon Pibu (Pichu) that hatched from the mysterious egg.

• Development: He gains his Politoed (Polibo) and realizes the full potential of his team. This is an important step in preparing him for the final, unique confrontation that no one else can perform. He must fight with emotions and bonds, not just brute strength.

Conclusion: The Final Maneuver

Part 4 builds the tension to a breaking point. Time unravels, the heroes fight against overwhelming odds, and Gold is the only one with the unique skills needed to neutralize Celebi and the GS Ball.
