Disney Lorcana all Sets that have been Released

1. The First Chapter (August 2023)

This was the set that started it all. It introduced us to the role of the "Illumineer" and the basic mechanics of the game.

  • Focus: Classic Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Elsa, Maleficent and Stitch.

  • Key cards: Elsa - Spirit of Winter , Maleficent - Monstrous Dragon , and Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Tailor .

  • Special: Introduced the six ink colors (Amber, Amethyst, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Steel).

2. Rise of the Floodborn (November 2023)

The second set explored the origins of the "Floodborn" glimmers – characters who have been transformed by the mysterious ink.

  • New mechanic: Resist (reduces damage taken).

  • Focus: Stories like Snow White , The Jungle Book , and The Great Mouse Detective .

  • Key cards: Beast - Tragic Hero and Cinderella - Stouthearted .

3. Into the Inklands (February 2024)

This set took players out of "The Great Illuminary" to explore the world of Inklands.

  • New Mechanic: Locations . This is a new card type that grants passive "Lore" every turn and has its own effects.

  • Focus: Characters from DuckTales , Heroes of the Air (TaleSpin) , and Pirate Planet .

  • Key Cards: Ursula - Deceiver of All and various Location cards such as The Queen's Castle .

4. Ursula's Return (May 2024)

This culminated the story of the evil sea witch Ursula, who tried to take control of Lorcana.

  • New mechanic: Sing Together . A variation of "Singer" that allows multiple characters to work together to pay the cost of a song.

  • Focus: Encanto made its debut here, along with characters from Hercules and Mulan .

  • Special: Along with this set came the cooperative mode Illumineer's Quest: Deep Trouble , where you fight against an "AI-controlled" Ursula.

5. Shimmering Skies (August 2024)

After Ursula's defeat, the kingdom celebrates with a grand festival, but a new mysterious danger looms in the background.

  • Focus: Heavy emphasis on Wreck-it Ralph and characters celebrating.

  • Keycard: Daisy Duck - Pied Piper and new versions of Arthur and Gidion .

  • Style: The set has a brighter and more party-like tone than the previous ones.

6. Azurite Sea (November 2024)

The Illumineers set sail across the azure sea to find answers to the broken machines of Lorcana.

  • Focus: Big Hero 6 and Winnie the Pooh are central here, along with pirate themes from Peter Pan .

  • Key cards: Characters like Baymax and pirate versions of famous characters.

7. Archazia's Island (March 2025)

This set took us to a mysterious, floating island ruled by the original character Archazia.

  • Focus: Large numbers of pets and animal helpers. Movies like Bolt , 101 Dalmatians and The Aristocats got a lot of space.

  • New mechanics: * Vanish: Allows characters to temporarily disappear to avoid challenges.

    • Dual Ink: Introduction of cards that have two colors at the same time, which opened up completely new deck combinations.

  • Key cards: Bolt - Superdog and Mirabel Madrigal - Hopeful Dreamer .

8. Reign of Jafar (May 2025)

Just like Ursula's set in 2024, this set focused on one of Disney's biggest villains. Jafar took over the island of Archazia and transformed it into a dark fortress.

  • Focus: Aladdin , Gargoyles , and dark versions of famous heroes.

  • Special: Included the second Illumineer's Quest game called Palace Heist , where players must work together to stop Jafar.

  • Key Cards: Jafar - Tyrannical Overlord and legendary versions of characters from Hercules .

9. Fabled (August 2025)

This set was marketed as a perfect starting point for new players ("Welcome to the Story"), with a strong adventure theme.

  • New rarity tiers: Introduced Epic (between Legendary and Enchanted) and Iconic (extremely rare cards with 3D details and special patterns).

  • Focus: Classic fairy tale versions of Mickey, Minnie and other core characters. Also included many important "reprints" of popular cards from the earliest sets.

  • Key Card: Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Prince (Iconic rarity).

10. Whispers in the Well (November 2025)

The newest set this year has a mysterious detective theme.

  • New mechanic: Boost . A way to temporarily strengthen characters by using special resources.

  • Focus: Zootropolis (Zootopia) starring Nick and Judy, as well as characters from Gargoyles and The Black Cauldron .

  • Style: Darker, more atmospheric art style that focuses on investigation and mysteries in the underworld of Lorcana.
